Head in the Clouds

This is a shirt I just finished printing! The ink is still wet!
It is an original design of a pair of giraffes with their heads in the clouds.
The giraffes are from a photo that I took at the Cincinnati Zoo.
Soon to be for sale in my Etsy shop, as soon as the ink dries that is!

A little birdie made a nest in my fabric!

Just finished this fun fabric yesterday!
So many little birds and so many eggs!
The little bird on the fabric was sculpted by me and fired in my sawdust pit.

I am loving this new fabric ink I got...it is super soft and feels like a part of the shirt!
The emu above I just finished printing a few minutes ago.
He was created from a photo that my husband took while we were visiting my family in Missouri.
My Uncle Jim has emus as pets! They are awesome.

I find myself thinking about my mom a lot some days. She has been gone since April of 2006, but I think about her once a day at least. When times get hard I find myself wishing I could talk to her. She could always make me feel better about anything. I'm not having the best week, but I'm not having the worst week either! Just kind of discouraging. So, I think of you today mom and know that if you were here you would offer encouragement and then tell me to get off my backside and quite whining! Love you.

Snow Day

We had a snowstorm come through last night with more for the next two days!
We are supposed to have 10-15" when it's all done.
My son got his first taste of the snow literally this morning.
He isn't sure if he likes it yet,
considering the first thing he did when we went out in the yard was plop down face first in a big pile of snow!

yuck who would want that!
We are supposed to get snowed in here so I should have plenty of time,
that is if my crazy toddler doesn't get stir crazy!

Barack Obama is actually the President of The United States!
I am so happy that this day has finally arrived. Good riddance Bush.
This country is in terrible shape at the moment and the only way to improve it is to get to work!
Barack's speech was inspiring. I feel like I could do anything after listening to him. I am sure that he will be able to improve our situation with help from the citizens of this fine country.
What a historic day, I never thought I would witness something so inspiring.
For our future and our children's future let's say it again....

Busy day

Wow, what a busy day! I chased my toddler around and stopped him from climbing on all sorts of objects, baked chocolate chip cookies, cleaned, made pizza from scratch for dinner and worked on several new prints! Here is one item that I made, only in pink tonight...use your imagination until I get them posted! Now it is time for bed, so I can wake up tomorrow and do even more!
